U.S. Model 1861 Percussion Contract Rifle-Musket by Trenton Locomotive and Machine Co., Trenton, N.J., .58 caliber, 40" round barrel, ram rod, fixed front sight, two leaf rear sight, three barrel bands with "U" inspection mark, the lockplate marked with "eagle, U.S. over Trenton,1863 behind hammer," marked at barrel top near hammer "31" over "1863," at left side of barrel "VP over eagle," at left side of barrel near stock "N.J.," the hardwood stock stamped at right side near butt plate "Co C," the top of stock next to butt tang "80," steel butt plate, action good, bore with discernible rifling and very light surface rust, wood with expected scratching, approx 56"l, 8.5lbs Start Price: $400.00
