Yes. For qualified estates and substantial consignments we coordinate professional packing and transport from San Antonio to our 25,000-square-foot Austin gallery, and your property is insured while in our possession. You do not need to box up a household or rent a truck.
We are approximately 85 miles from San Antonio—about an hour and a half by road—at 8414 Anderson Mill Road in North Austin. For full estates we come to you, so the distance is ours to cover, not yours.
No. Start with photos, a phone call, or an appointment—most evaluations begin remotely. For larger estates and collections we schedule a walk-through and handle transport. For smaller consignments, you are welcome to bring items to the gallery.
Because the room is not the market. An estate sale prices property for a weekend of local foot traffic. Our sales run live in the gallery and online, so a San Antonio consignor is selling to collectors and dealers bidding from across the country and the world.
The same published terms as any consignor: commissions from 18% to 41% depending on sale price — rates include a 2% insurance fee that covers your property under our bailee's insurance policy while it is in our care — applied per lot and deducted from the hammer price. Rates can vary significantly based on the items and the estate, so contact a specialist to get your rate. There is no charge for a preliminary evaluation and no separate out-of-town fee.
Most estates can be included in the next suitable monthly catalog sale. You receive a detailed settlement statement, with payment issued within 30 business days of the auction's close.
