Continental liturgical vestment chasuble, 18th/ 19th c., with padded goldwork embroidery executed in gold and silver metal threads, central register of scrolled floral and foliate motifs, metallic applique trim with grape vine pattern, the collar trimmed in eyelet lace, the reverse with fine depiction of the Agnus Dei (Lamb of God), with chased silver-tone metal head and legs, reclining on a cross, framed by sequined rays of light yellow fabric lining, approx 42"l, 26.5"w, 4lbs Provenance: The collection of Kathryn V. Alexander, an antiques dealer and designer with over 20 years of experience operating shops in New Orleans, Louisiana, and Middleburg, Virginia.
