(lot of 6) Collection of designer and antique fabric, 19th/20th c., mostly of French origin, including: (1) Christopher Moore for Lee Jofa, in the "Les Lois de Lycurgue" pattern from the Toile collection, after the original design by Samuel Cholet (French, 1786-1874); (1) beige gray cotton blend with foliate couched embroidery; (1) gold silk damask with monochrome blue and brown stripes; (1) curtain panel in red damask fabric with embroidered peony blooms; (1) yellow-ground jacquard fabric, with silk threaded foliate-bearing urns; (1) stylized paisley pattern on brown fabric ground; largest: approx 95"l, 64"w; 12lbs total Provenance: The collection of Kathryn V. Alexander, an antiques dealer and designer with over 20 years of experience operating shops in New Orleans, Louisiana, and Middleburg, Virginia. Kathryn retired in 2020 and now lives in Georgetown, Texas PLEASE NOTE: All of the textiles in this auction would likely benefit from a professional cleaning. Though we do not currently observe any major tears or losses, most are likely to have some staining, missing trim, and evidence of wear.
