(pair) English Chippendale style oak side chairs, early 20th c., each with pierced splat, over rush seat, carved straight legs joined by box stretchers, ending on pad feet, approx 37"h, 19.5"w, 16.75"d, seat height: approx 17.5"h Provenance: The lifetime collection of Lynn Roth Jordan (Louisiana, Texas, 1943-2021). As an active member of the Austin Antiques Club for many years, Lynn was deeply embedded in the antiques community here in Austin. Her New Orleans upbringing in a family of collectors (many of the pieces come from her mother's estate), combined with her frequent trips to England, gave her a unique understanding of provenance, quality, and historical significance.
