(lot of 3) English carved oak side chairs, 18th/ 19th c., including: (1) Queen Anne style, having splat back, rising on cabriole legs, ending on pad feet, approx: 38.5"h, 21"w, 17"d, seat height: approx 16.5"h; (1) Charles II style, displaying scroll carved cresting, having vertical splat supports, rising on turned stretcher-joined legs, approx: 41"h, 18"w, 15"d, seat height: approx 18"h; (1) Derbyshire style, having three-arch splat, rising over stretcher-joined block-and-baluster legs, approx: 39"h, 18"w, 15"d, seat height: approx 16"h Provenance: The lifetime collection of Lynn Roth Jordan (Louisiana, Texas, 1943-2021). As an active member of the Austin Antiques Club for many years, Lynn was deeply embedded in the antiques community here in Austin. Her New Orleans upbringing in a family of collectors (many of the pieces come from her mother's estate), combined with her frequent trips to England, gave her a unique understanding of provenance, quality, and historical significance. The estate features an extensive array of English furniture alongside antique decorative objects, the kind of exceptional pieces that only reveal themselves to collectors who know where to look and what to seek.
