(lot of 2) English mixed wood "Stickback" Windsor chairs, in the manner of Stewart Linford, 20th c., each having hooped and spindled back, over saddle seat, rising on turned legs joined by curved cross stretcher, unmarked, approx 43.25"h, 21.25"w, 20.5"d, seat height: approx 17.5"h Provenance: The lifetime collection of Lynn Roth Jordan (Louisiana, Texas, 1943-2021). As an active member of the Austin Antiques Club for many years, Lynn was deeply embedded in the antiques community here in Austin. Her New Orleans upbringing in a family of collectors (many of the pieces come from her mother's estate), combined with her frequent trips to England, gave her a unique understanding of provenance, quality, and historical significance.
