Lot description
Japanese WWII Type 94 military sword, the 27" bright steel blade with Japanese character markings appearing only on the nakajo or blade tang which is covered by a wood handle with silk wrapping and ray skin, blade in very good condition without nicks, the rectangular guard or tsuba is gilt metal with cherry blossoms at each corner, the handle secured to the nakajo with a single mekugi wood peg, housed in a dark brown finish steel scabbard with no markings and finish loss, overall: approx. 39"l; for shipping 4.10lbs
