U.S. Army Model 1902 Officer Dress Coat, Infantry, dark blue, having a 1.5" stand up collar faced with the blue infantry stripe within gold braid, collar is secured by two eye hooks, gilt braid epaulettes with single button mounted at each shoulder, the coat front with 18 eagle 1902 General Service buttons by Shannon, Miller & Crane, at the left front a mounted red-blue-red ribbon denoting service in the Philippine Campaign, the right shoulder with an infantry blue uniform aiguillette with braided discs, each sleeve near its hem with gilt braiding, stripe and infantry crossed rifles, the coat back with split tail and four buttons, the lined interior with some small tears and retaining the seller tag of "Hatfield & Sons, New York," two interior pockets, the right pocket with the interior tag "Hatfield & Sons, Importers and Tailors, 450 Fifth Avenue, New York" and further marked in ink "Maj. B.W. Purssell, December 1906" (Benjamin M. Purssell, Ohio, 1852-1936, retired 1908, 30 year service), approx. measure shoulder to shoulder 17", shoulder to sleeve hem 23", shoulder to coat hem 31", now on table top men's form display, 36"h, total of uniform and display 12.35lbs    Provenance: Collection of T'Odon Charles (Chuck) Leshikar, Jr., (Texas,1946-2020), Vietnam, U.S. Army Lt. ,“Delta Raiders,” D Company, 2nd Battalion, 501st Airborne Infantry Regiment, later Echo Company commander, Silver Star, three Bronze Stars, Soldiers Medal, Purple Heart.
