Native American silver (content unknown) bolo tie, Tommy Jackson (Navajo, b.1958), silver overlay plaque with spiral and stepped geometric designs, a secondary pendant suspended below, silver bolo tips with graduated drops, braided black leather cord, ornament stamped Jackson, bolo ornament only: approx 2 3/8"h, 2 1/8"w, 128.6 grams (inclusive of all materials) Provenance: the collection of a psychiatrist who taught at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas in the 1960s and went on to become a founding faculty member of the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he taught thousands of doctors over a career into the 2000s. The doctor amassed his collection over several years with dedication, care, a critical eye for detail, and cultural appreciation.
