(1) U.S. Model 1832 Foot Artillery Sword, mfg. c. 1890's, the 18.25" straight blade marked at the ricasso "The Henderson Ames Co, Kalamazoo, Mich", a brass guard, brass fish scale pattern handle and semi rounded pommel, sword overall 23.5"l, housed in a brass and leather scabbard, the brass tip ends in a face form, overall sword in scabbard 27"l; (1) likely German short sword, an 18.75" slightly curved blade, the right ricasso marked with a crown or four leg M over a horizontal line, the 'S' for guard marked at one side "1874", the opposite side marked "457", the guard and handle in brass, sword overall 23.75"l, house in an all black leather sheath with belt loop, blade with dark sections and some surface rust, sheath frog leather surface with loss and cracking, overall sword and sheath 28"l, for shipping total of both 5lbs Provenance: Collection of T'Odon Charles (Chuck) Leshikar, Jr., (Texas,1946-2020), Vietnam, U.S. Army Lt. ,“Delta Raiders,” D Company, 2nd Battalion, 501st Airborne Infantry Regiment, later Echo Company commander, Silver Star, three Bronze Stars, Soldiers Medal, Purple Heart.
