(lot of 3) French marble and gilt metal mantel clock and garniture set, late 19th c., including: (1) mantel clock, having topper modeled as a winged figure in chariot pulled by lions, signed in cast after Ch. Aubert (French, 19th c.), white enamel dial with Roman numeral hour markers, time-and-strike movement marked F. Pelissier, rising on stepped base with central frieze depicting allegorical children and animals in wooded landscape, lacking pendulum, bell and striker operational, movement does not respond to winding and is in need of adjustment, small loss to enamel near left key hole, marble intact with restoration at lower left corner, approx 16"h, 18.5"w, 16.25"d; (2) tazza garnitures, each having dual lion mask handles, stepped base with corresponding relief scenes, approx 11"h, 6"w, 4"d; 68lbs total Provenance: From the estate of Carl Carter (Texas, 1955-2023)
