(lot of 2) Spanish Colonial folk art "santos de palo" religious saint figures, late 19th/ early 20th c., carved wood with gesso and polychrome paint, rising on platform base, including: (1) Christ, depicted in a white robe with parcel-gilt red mantle, approx 8"h, 2 5/8"w, 2 7/8"d; (1) robed figure, possibly the Christ Child or Saint Joseph, one hand hoisting a straight staff, approx 9.25"h, 3.5"w, 2.75"d; 1.5lbs total Provenance: the Stanley Family's fine Tarrytown Estate.
