(lot of 2) Folk art "santos de palo" religious saint figures, late 19th/ early 20th c., carved wood with gesso and polychrome paint, rising on platform base, including: (1) Crucified Christ, by Zoilo Cajigas Sotomayor (Puerto Rico, 1858-1962), accompanied by a copy of a certificate of authenticity issued by Galeria Botello, San Juan, approx 13"h, 7"w, 2.5"d; (1) Holy Trinity, figural group with the Father, the Son holding an iron shepherd's staff, and the central Holy Spirit represented as a dove, approx 7.75"h, 6.25"w, 2.25"d; 1.5lbs total Provenance: the Stanley Family's fine Tarrytown Estate.
