(lot of 3) Custom-upholstered lamp shades, fashioned from fine 18th/ 19th c. liturgical vestments, each having gold silk ground, including: (pair) with central embroidered applique in the form of a foliate roundel, on latticework mesh backing, with lacework trim, approx 8.5"h, 12"diam; (1) having padded goldwork embroidered cross, brocade trim, finished with metallic braided fringe, approx 11"h, 14.75"w, 11"d; 3.5lbs total PLEASE NOTE: All of the textiles in this auction would likely benefit from a professional cleaning. Though we do not currently observe any major tears or losses, most are likely to have some staining, missing trim, and evidence of wear.
