Custom-upholstered lampshade, fashioned from fine 18th/ 19th c. liturgical vestments, gold silk damask ground with scrolled foliates, mounted with burgundy velvet, embroidered crown motif with gold metal thread and sequin embellishments, over MRA (Maria Regina Angelorum) Christogram, applied scalloped metallic trim with floral motifs, approx 15"h, 20.5"diam, 2.25lbs Provenance: The collection of Kathryn V. Alexander, an antiques dealer and designer with over 20 years of experience operating shops in New Orleans, Louisiana, and Middleburg, Virginia. Kathryn retired in 2020 and now lives in Georgetown, Texas PLEASE NOTE: All of the textiles in this auction would likely benefit from a professional cleaning.
