Custom-upholstered lamp shade, fashioned from fine 18th/ 19th c. liturgical vestments, with central padded goldwork embroidery executed in gold and silver metal threads, depicting the IHS Christogram, framed by sequined rays, with brocade trim, on ivory velvet ground, finished with metallic braided fringe, approx 13.5"h, 18"diam, 2.5lbs PLEASE NOTE: All of the textiles in this auction would likely benefit from a professional cleaning. Though we do not currently observe any major tears or losses, most are likely to have some staining, missing trim, and evidence of wear.
