(lot of 4) United States Army training books and briefcase, including: (1) Book: "389th Bombardment Group, U.S. Army Air Corps, pictured near the front is Hollywood actor Col. Jimmy Stewart (drafted in pre-war 1941, participated in 20 combat missions, promoted to Brigadier General 1959), many phots of bomber planes and crews, photos and maps of bombing missions over Germany including Berlin, photo with President Roosevelt, award photo including the Congressional Medal of Honor, returned P,O.W.'s and more; (1) Book: "Ellington Field, Houston, Texas, Army Air Force Training Command", 200 pages with photos of early flight planes, command personnel, cadets and various squadrons; (1) Book: "Air Navigation", Department of the Air Force, 555 pages fully illustrated navigation instructions with and without instruments of the day, each page is marked "Restricted" as per US, Espionage Act at the time; (1) U.S. issued brown leather brief case with front lettering "Air Force, United States Army", for shipping largest measurement approx. 11" x 15.75" x 2", total of all approx. 10.20lbs
