(lot of 2) French Firefighter Helmets, early 20th century: (1) helmet in green finish with the steel comb exhibiting a flaming grenade at its front, a brass plate at helmet front depicts a ribbon form marked "Pompiers de la Marine" over an anchor flanked by axe and foliage, the helmet retains the leather chin strap, the leather interior liner appears in reasonably good condition, marked at the interior in white "59" (size) and "1939", (1) silver tone finish steel helmet with comb top and having a brass front plate depicting a flaming grenade, castle turret and foliage, the ribbon form at plate top marked "Sapeurs-Pompiers", helmet retains the leather chin strap, the interior leather liner is present with deterioration, for shipping largest measurements approx. 6.25" x 12.1/8" x 9.25:, total of all approx. 3.65lbs
