Lot description
Framed document signed at Versailles by King Louis XV (1710-1774) on June 24, 1770 instructing that the sum of 150 livres be distributed as alms for the poor, a complete translation on the verso, this document approx. 10.5"h, 8"w, at left is a vintage printed depiction of Louis XV c.1730, based on the engraving by Louis Crepy (French, c.1680-c.1750) after an original painting attributed to the workshop of Jean-Baptiste van Loo (French, 1684-1745), the print approx. 9.75"h, 7.25"w, not examined out of frame, overall approx. 14.75"h, 20.5"w, 3.10lbs
