Lot description
U.S. Civil War Era Model 1860 Cavalry Sword, the 34" blade with embellishments at each side including "U.S., E Pluribus Unum, drums, cannons, flags and foliate scrolling", the left ricasso marked "Tiffany, New York, the right ricasso marked "1861", the three branch guard with scrolled engraving, the handle with black leather and lacking wire wrap, the blade is black with some light surface rust in places, there are several silver tone spots, the engraving is fairly easy to read, overall approx. 39.75"l, 2lbd
