(lot of 51) French library shelf books, literature, poetry, travel, history, and religious subjects, all with gilt-embossed leather binding, marbleized cover, many with raised spine bands, including: (24) published by Librarie Arstide Quillet, Paris, 1928, all with tooled leather spine and blue marbleized cover, various authors, (13) from the "Cours de Code Napoleon (Course of Napoleon Code)" Series, published by Auguste Durand and L. Hachette and Company, Paris, dates ranging from 1868-1878; (9) published by Horizons de France, Paris, from the "Provinciales" collection; (5) "Sainte Bible Contenant L'Ancien et le Nouveau Testament (Saintly Bible Containing the Old and the New Testament)," published by Besancon and Lille, Paris, 1844, volumes I-IV and VI; largest: approx 9.5"h, 8"w, 0.5"d, 73lbs total PLEASE NOTE: All of the antique library shelf books in this auction are inherently fragile.
