(lot of 34) French library shelf books, religion, periodicals, music, and history subjects, all with gilt-embossed leather binding, many with marbleized covers, highlights include: (4) "La Bible (The Bible)," with tooled tan leather cover and end paper, illustrations by Edy Legrand, edited by Maurice Robert for the Marseille Book Club, 1950, volumes I-III containing the Old Testament, volume IV containing the New Testament; (2) collections of sheet music by Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, published by Henry Litolff's Verlag, (one) "Sonates pour Piano (Piano Sonatas)," in French, (one) "Geistliche Gesangswerke (Sacred Piano Works)," in German, (1) "La Danse (The Dance)," by Gaston Vuillier, published by Hachette and Company, printed by Lahure, 1898, largest: approx 12.5"h, 9"w, 1.75"d, 113lbs total PLEASE NOTE: All of the antique library shelf books in this auction are inherently fragile.
