(pair) Southwest Spanish Colonial style pine armchairs, attributed to Maximo "Max" Luna (1896-1964) for the Harwood Foundation in Taos, New Mexico, c.1930s, mortise and tenon and pegged joinery, padded back and seat covered in Guatemalan woven ikat textiles, sloped arms with carved spiral supports, on stretcher-joined legs, approx 40.25"h, 22"w, 26.75"d, seat height: 16"h Provenance: Commissioned in the 1930s to furnish Datcha Ranch in Kerrville, Texas.
