(pair) Southwest Spanish Colonial style pine dining armchairs, attributed to Maximo "Max" Luna (1896-1964) for the Harwood Foundation in Taos, New Mexico, c.1930s, mortise and tenon and pegged joinery, stepped finials, carved and spindled back, padded seat covered in faux leather, on stretcher-joined supports, approx 37.5"h, 24.5"w, 25"d, seat height: 18"h Note: a second pair of armchairs offered in this auction Provenance: Commissioned in the 1930s to furnish Datcha Ranch in Kerrville, Texas.
