French Neoclassical bronze dore mantel clock, early 19th c., surmounted by the goddess Aphrodite/ Venus holding doves, beside rectangular case with cast ribbons and floral motifs, white porcelain dial with Roman numeral hour markers, unmarked time-and-strike movement, silk thread suspension, rising on integral plinth with figural frieze, depicting cherubs in pastoral setting, further raised on tapered feet, lacking pendulum, not currently operational, loss to porcelain dial at left side, approx 16.25"h, 11.25"w, 4.75"d, 15.25lbs Provenance: The estate and interior design collection of Gay Ratliff (Martha Gay Kokernot Ratliff, Austin, Texas, 1942-2023)
