Historical record: Slave Bill of Sale, October 21, 1833, The State of Louisiana-Parish of Iberville, Balthazar Duprey, Administrator, Vatery Marionneau and Marie Gaspard his wife, both deceased, "a certain Negro girl named Rosette aged about fourteen years ... and sold to Daniel Holiday", "for the sum of Six Hundred and Fifty Dollars", payment was by two promissory notes payable to Gilbert Marionneau, all signatures with the Notary Public Louis Petit, included are copies of promissory notes, fairly easy to read, in good condition
