Historical record: Slave Bill of Sale, April 19, 1845, "The State of Louisiana-Parish of St. Helena, the sale by James Glasscock and his wife Sarah J. Glasscock for the sum of Two Hundred Dollars, Cash to Mr. John Robertson of the Parish of Washington, a "negro boy by the name of Henry, age about sixteen, signed by two witnesses, Joh Glasscock, Sarah J. Glasscock with her mark, attested to and signed by Samuel Leonard, Parish Judge and Notary, most writing is legible
