Native American Navajo sterling silver bolo tie, initialed E (Randall Endito, Navajo/ Dine, 20th c.), circular ornament with arrow-form stampwork designs, issuing two feather-shaped dangles with bezel-set turquoise cabochons, matched silver tips, on braided black leather cord, bolo hallmarked sterling to reverse, bolo ornament only (inclusive of dangles): approx 3.75"h, 1.25"w, 34 grams (inclusive of all materials) Provenance: the collection of a psychiatrist who taught at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas in the 1960s and went on to become a founding faculty member of the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he taught thousands of doctors over a career into the 2000s. The doctor amassed his collection over several years with dedication, care, a critical eye for detail, and cultural appreciation.
