(lot of 3) Cartridge Boxes: (1) McKeever Texas/U.S. cartridge box in brown leather stamped "U.S." within an oval at front, the inner left end stamped "Rock Island Arsenal, 1908, T.C.C.", the outer left end stamped "State of Texas", likely in use by the Texas National Guard in response to the 1916 raid into New Mexico by Pancho Villa, holds 20 Krag .30 caliber cartridges, lacks rifle disassembly tool, closing flap is torn; (2) "U.S." stamped Model 1896 leather revolver cartridge boxes further stamped "Rock Island Arsenal, 1903", one with inspector initials "H.E.K", the other with "C.H.S", one retains the wood block for .38 caliber cartridges, the other further stamped "392 116 100", for shipping largest measure 5" x 6.25" x. 1.5", total of all .75lbs Provenance: Collection of T'Odon Charles (Chuck) Leshikar, Jr., (Texas,1946-2020), Vietnam, U.S. Army Lt. ,“Delta Raiders,” D Company, 2nd Battalion, 501st Airborne Infantry Regiment, later Echo Company commander, Silver Star, three Bronze Stars, Soldiers Medal, Purple Heart.
