U.S. Navy Model 1917 style cutlass sword by Cold Steel Inc., an "improved' reproduction, the slightly curved 25" clip point 1055 carbon steel blade, the black steel guard with numerous punched holes to reduce weight, a three screw wood handle, sword overall approx. 30.25"l, housed in a black leather scabbard with removable belt frog, sword and scabbard overall approx. 3lbs Provenance: Collection of T'Odon Charles (Chuck) Leshikar, Jr., (Texas,1946-2020), Vietnam, U.S. Army Lt. ,“Delta Raiders,” D Company, 2nd Battalion, 501st Airborne Infantry Regiment, later Echo Company commander, Silver Star, three Bronze Stars, Soldiers Medal, Purple Heart.
