(2) U.S. Model 1860 Cavalry Swords: (1) the 34.75" curving blade marked at the right ricasso "U.S., A.D.K., 1863" (U.S. inspector A.D. King), the left ricasso marked "Ames Mfg Co, Chicopee, Mass., a three branch guard and wire wrapped black/brown leather with some loss, housed in a black steel dented scabbard with leather and brass unmarked sword hanger, sword with scabbard approx. 42"l;  (1) the 34.5" curving blade marked at the right ricasso "U.S., 1865, AGM." (U.S. inspector Alfred G. Manning), the left ricasso marked "Roby, Chelmsford, Mass. (Roby's C. initial is obscured", three branch brass guard with leather handle retaining only part of the original wire wrap and with cracking, housed in a dent steel scabbard with some rust and attached brass and leather sword hanger, blade is dark with darker spots, sword and scabbard overall 42.25"l, total of both for shipping approx. 7.30lbs    Provenance: Collection of T'Odon Charles (Chuck) Leshikar, Jr., (Texas,1946-2020), Vietnam, U.S. Army Lt. ,“Delta Raiders,” D Company, 2nd Battalion, 501st Airborne Infantry Regiment, later Echo Company commander, Silver Star, three Bronze Stars, Soldiers Medal, Purple Heart.
