(lot of 2) Cavalry Swords: (1) U.S. Model 1860 Light Cavalry Sword, having a slightly curved 34.25" blade marked at the ricasso "Henry Boker, Solingen", a three branch brass guard and wire wrapped handle with slight loss to leather, housed in a black steel scabbard, overall approx. 43.5"l, the blade is silver tone with some dark spots, one nick and a few rough spots at edge; (1) Model 1840 cavalry sword, the 34.75" curving blade by Sheble & Fisher, Philadelphia (worn lettering), three branch guard with wire wrapped leather handle, an attached leather and brass sword belt, hanger (verdigris), hosed in steel scabbard with dent and surface rust, overall approx. 43"l, for shipping total of both approx. 8.80lbs    Provenance: Collection of T'Odon Charles (Chuck) Leshikar, Jr., (Texas,1946-2020), Vietnam, U.S. Army Lt. ,“Delta Raiders,” D Company, 2nd Battalion, 501st Airborne Infantry Regiment, later Echo Company commander, Silver Star, three Bronze Stars, Soldiers Medal, Purple Heart.
