(lot of 2) U.S. Military swords: (1) Model 1840 sword, the 32" long blade marked at the right ricasso "U.S., A.D.K. (inspector A.D. King), 1862", the brass guard marked at the right "18H2", the black leather handle now with only partial wire wrap, the blade in overall good condition, no visible nicks, silver tone with some dark spots, housed in a metal scabbard in poor condition, overall approx. 39"l; (1) Model 1849 sword, the 35" blade marked at the right ricasso "U.S., C.E.W. (inspector Charles E. Wilson), 1865", the left ricasso marked by the maker "Emerson & Silver, Trenton, New Jersey", the three branch brass guard marked at the left branch "742", wire wrapped black leather handle, no visible nicks, the blade is dark silver tone with some darker spots, housed in a metal scabbard covered with surface rust, overall approx. 43.25"l, for shipping total of both approx. 7.70lbs    Provenance: Collection of T'Odon Charles (Chuck) Leshikar, Jr., (Texas,1946-2020), Vietnam, U.S. Army Lt. ,“Delta Raiders,” D Company, 2nd Battalion, 501st Airborne Infantry Regiment, later Echo Company commander, Silver Star, three Bronze Stars, Soldiers Medal, Purple Heart.
