January 1941, .300 Savage caliber, 22" barrel, blade front sight, adjustable rear sight, mounted Lyman telescopic scope, upper rear tang mounted Lyman peep sight, fixed five round magazine, right receiver safety lever, walnut stock, two sling swivels, leather sling, checkered metal butt plate, wood and finish with minor loss, light scratches, some brown spots on rear of bolt, bore is bright with good rifling, action good, SN 13725 *REQUIRES FFL TRANSFER* *Provenance: Estate of Henry D. Evans (New York, Texas,1933-2021) Master Sergeant U.S.A.F, Retired. A 23 year veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he served in the Air Force Rifle Marksmanship Unit, Lackland A.F.B., as a marksman and instructor. Evans earned multiple excellence in competition badges throughout his service culminating in the award of the U.S. Air Force Distinguished Rifleman badge, number 84, and was a member of the President's 100, awarded to the 100 top scoring military and civilian shooters in the President's Pistol and President's Rifle Matches.
