June 1949, .35 Rem caliber, 22" barrel, blade front sight, adjustable rear sight, fixed five round magazine, right receiver side safety lever, walnut stock, checkered metal butt plate, two sling swivels, leather sling, wood good with one dent area at right butt, metal blue with light scratching estimated 90%, bore bright with strong rifling, action good, SN 48925 *REQUIRES FFL TRANSFER* *Provenance: Estate of Henry D. Evans (New York, Texas,1933-2021) Master Sergeant U.S.A.F, Retired. A 23 year veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he served in the Air Force Rifle Marksmanship Unit, Lackland A.F.B., as a marksman and instructor. Evans earned multiple excellence in competition badges throughout his service culminating in the award of the U.S. Air Force Distinguished Rifleman badge, number 84, and was a member of the President's 100, awarded to the 100 top scoring military and civilian shooters in the President's Pistol and President's Rifle Matches.
