U.S. Winchester Model 1897 Trench Gun, mfg. 1917, slide action, 12 gauge, 20" barrel with cylinder choke, bayonet lug with last patent date "Mar. 19, 1918", barrel top marked with two line address, patents, last patent date "July 4 .10", marked at slide bar on three lines "Model 1897, Winchester, trade mark", marked at left receiver "U.S.", PW proof marks at barrel rear and receiver front, hardwood stock stamped at right side "B" over "P" over "D" with "20" to right (later police department markings, possibly the Boston PD documented online), two sling swivels, military style leather sling, checkered metal butt plate, action good, metal mostly brown with most scratches at right receiver, stock with numerous dents, scratches and some wood loss at left side, bore is bright with no discernible dents, SN E6496XX *REQUIRES FFL TRANSFER* Start Price: $600.00
