Antique Japanese Sword Mountings, Fuchigashira: (1) A Koshira or sword pommel with dimpled ground having a relief depiction of an eagle perched on a pine branch with foliage above, the eagles eye and tree branches accented in gold, the relief decoration extends to one side, an ovoid form approx. 1.3/8"l x .5/8"w x .25"d, 15.8 grams; (1) A Fuchi collar signed Ishiguro Koreyoshi (c.1800-1860), overall with substantial relief depicting a gold accented bird and florals, the fuchi approx. 1.5"l, 7/8"w, ..1/2"d, 26.2 grams; all items are housed in a Kanji marked wood box, the lid reading Ishiguro Koreyoshi, and the interior marked by the box maker and dated 1967, for shipping box is approx. 1.75"h, 5.75"w, 3.5"d, .38lbs Provenance: Retained by inheritance from the sale of an antique Japanese Armor collection sold by Sotheby's, London.
