(lot of 2) Native American Sunface belt buckles, including: (1) Eddy Chaco (Navajo, 20th c.), sterling silver buckle of oval form, centering a domed mask, stamped Eddy Chaco/ sterling, approx 2"h, 2.5"w, bar: approx 1"w; (1) Steven Pooyouma Kuyvaya  ( Hopi, 20th c.) rounded rectangular form, Katsina mask flanked by two figures, picto mark, approx 2"h, 2 7/8"w, bar: approx 1 3/8"w; 87 grams (inclusive of all materials) Provenance: the collection of a psychiatrist who taught at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas in the 1960s and went on to become a founding faculty member of the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he taught thousands of doctors over a career into the 2000s. The doctor amassed his collection over several years with dedication, care, a critical eye for detail, and cultural appreciation.
