Southwest sterling silver bolo tie, signed A.N.B., modeled as an arrowhead, center with bezel set Spiderweb turquoise cabochon and small red coral branch, on textured ground, braided flat neck black leather cord with foliated tubular silver (content unknown) feather dangle tips, ornament and one feather tip initialed and marked sterling, bolo ornament only: approx 2.5"h, 2"w, 109 grams (inclusive of all materials) Provenance: the collection of a psychiatrist who taught at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas in the 1960s and went on to become a founding faculty member of the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he taught thousands of doctors over a career into the 2000s. The doctor amassed his collection over several years with dedication, care, a critical eye for detail, and cultural appreciation.
