German Gewehr 88 Rifle, straight handle bolt action, 7.92x57mm caliber, 29" barrel, blade front sight, cleaning rod, bayonet lug, adjustable rear sight, the receiver ring marked "Lowe Berlin" over "1890" and numbered at left "2165" and "3581", the left receiver wall marked "Gewr 88", the floor plate marked "1914" and numbered at front end "7509", hardwood stock with two sling swivels and metal butt plate, wood with expected rubs and scratching, action is good, bore is bright with well defined rifling *REQUIRES FFL TRANSFER*  Provenance: Collection of T'Odon Charles (Chuck) Leshikar, Jr., (Texas,1946-2020), Vietnam, U.S. Army Lt. ,“Delta Raiders,” D Company, 2nd Battalion, 501st Airborne Infantry Regiment, later Echo Company commander, Silver Star, three Bronze Stars, Soldiers Medal, Purple Heart.
