Short Blunderbuss, thought to be Ottoman Empire, early 19th century, the 9.5" octagonal and round barrel with raised gilt decoration, the muzzle opens top about 2", the wood stock with carved decoration at the underside, the butt area embellished with scrolling foliate wire inlay and checkering, the lockplate with raised gilt decoration, wood with scratching and loss, the action is good and strong, the bore with surface rust and raised places, intact racks near the muzzle, some wire at the butt stock needs to be reinserted, overall 17.5"l, 2.55lbs
