Flintlock pistol, believed to be Maltese Contract, second half 18th c., estimated 50 caliber, 12.25" part octagonal, part round barrel, short blade front sight, ramrod, belt hook, the left barrel flat marked "crown over JL" (Order St. John), the lockplate marked "crown over S.E. (St. Etienne Arsenal),and "Girardo", (other obscured lettering for this contractor), brass furniture, the wood with beetle holes, cracks and wood loss, hammer will not stay cocked (spring is strong), for shipping 19.5"l, 3.10lbs
