Flintlock boot or belt pistol, early 19th c., no visible maker, the right side above the trigger with possible letters "AN", all steel embellished with foliate and scroll engraving, a round tapering 5.25" barrel, approx. 13mm diameter at muzzle, belt look at left, the hammer and trigger operate and are strong, bore with light rust, overall with light scratching and rubs, the shallow pan and touch hole are at top in front of the hammer, the butt end with a thru circular hole and notch possibly to accommodate a shoulder stock, pistol overall 11,5"l,
