(pair) Percussion Pistols with attached knives, single shot estimated .40 caliber, c. 1820 by William James Hole (active 1811-1844), Bristol, England, 2.5" screw on round barrels with spring activated 1.5" triangular blade knife, the additional length of the blade housing causes the whole to protrude about 2" past the pistol muzzle when activated, the pistol receiver with scrolled decoration and marked "Hole" and one side and "Bristol" at the opposite side, each with a Birmingham proof mark stamped in front of the trigger guard and on barrel, each with barrel/frame alignment marks, the hammer in a dolphin form, both with a hardwood curving stock, wood and metal with expected light scratching, bores smooth, action is good on both, activated blades hold in locked position but when closed do not fully lock down, overall both in very good condition, each about 7.25"l, total of both, 1.55lbs   ANTIQUES
