Japanese patinated bronze koro censer/ incense burner, Meiji period, pierced cover with auspicious clouds and foo lion finial, over globular basin flanked by dual handles modeled as hoo birds, raised on tripodal phoenix-form supports with scrolled tail feathers, ending on circular base with bat motifs, underside of bowl marked in stylized script, "Dai Nippon Takaoka-shi sei Minami(?)
