Antique patinated bronze/ copper alloy figural shrine, India, modeled as Krishna's avatar, Venugopal, depicted with four arms, two arms raised in a flute-playing position, one hand holding a chakra, the other with a shankha conch, seated before a cow nursing a calf, flanked at sides by his consorts, Rukmini and Satyabhama, standing atop a stepped base, pierced Prabhavali arch with central hood of seven serpents, over architectural niches, Dravidian script inscription at top of base, possibly Telugu, in five pieces, approx 18"h, 13"w, 6.5"d, 23lbs Provenance: the contents of a retired Wall Street executive's lakeside compound
