English brass-bound walnut writing slope/ travel desk, late 19th c., worn brass straps, cartouche and escutcheon on the case, opening to fitted interior with pencil storage, ink receptacles, inkwell and embossed leather writing surface, open storage below, leather writing surface with some loss and tears, one side lacking lock to hold panel, approx 6"h, 11.75"w, 8.75"d, 5.5lbs
