English brass-inlaid mahogany writing slope, 19th c., the well-figured case with inset shaped cartouche and escutcheon, inlaid to top and facade with bright brass stringwork joined by decorative roundels, the interior fitted with stamp trough, pencil storage, and ink receptacle, writing surface retaining worn cover, over open storage, lock with stylized marks in oval, possibly P or L, approx 4.5"h, 14"w, 9.25"d, 2.25lbs
