English Georgian period mahogany storage box, early 19th c., the case with contrasting stringwork, further decorated with marquetry and parquetry inlays of conch, paterae and compass star motifs, bone inlaid diamond-form escutcheon, the slant lid opens to a small covered storage, fronting removable storage box, partially stained and with grooves for slats, open storage below, likely formerly a knife box, approx 14 7/8"h, 8.75"w, 10"d, 8lbs
